Weekly Reflection Tenth Week

The tenth week of my teaching practice marked the end of the first phase, making it a blend of emotions and lasting memories. Though the week was short, it was filled with meaningful experiences, cheerful moments, and valuable insights. During this time, I completed teaching the prose Engine Trouble by R.K. Narayan, while the school was abuzz with the excitement of the School Youth Festival.

The festival, held from 6th to 8th October, transformed the campus into a lively space of talent and creativity. Nearly 90 events were organized, covering literary, cultural, artistic, and musical categories. The students participated with great enthusiasm and spirit. Watching them perform with confidence and cheer for one another was truly inspiring. It reminded me that true education extends beyond academics — it involves encouraging self-expression and recognizing every learner’s unique potential.

Even amidst the festival’s vibrant schedule, the students stayed engaged and actively contributed to the classroom discussions. Their appreciation for R.K. Narayan’s humor and storytelling had become deeper by the end of the lessons. As the first phase concluded, I was overwhelmed with gratitude and satisfaction — thankful for my students’ cooperation, my mentors’ support, and the growth I experienced along the way. This phase was not merely about teaching literature, but about learning patience, building confidence, and creating meaningful bonds in the classroom.
