COLLEGE UNION AND ARTS CLUB INAUGURATION

Fathima Memorial Training College, Mylapore, Kollam, recently held the College Union and Arts Club Inauguration on October 30, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. The event took place in the college auditorium and witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of students, faculty, and guests. The inauguration of the College Union was led by N. K. Premachandran, Member of Parliament, who delivered an inspiring speech, motivating students to engage in leadership and community activities. Anunand S, a talented multi-instrumentalist, was the guest of honor for the Arts Club inauguration, adding a creative flair to the event. The programme began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Lakshmy Natarajan, Principal of FMTC, followed Inaugural ceremony and a stunning performance by Anunand .  The event was a grand success, marking the beginning of an exciting year for the College Union and Arts Club with a commitment to fostering creativity and leadership among students.  

RANG BARSE - DIWALI CELEBRATION

  On October 30th, Fathima Memorial Training College in Mylapore came alive with colors and excitement for the Rang Barse Rangoli Fest, held in celebration of Diwali. The event, which started at 1:30 pm in the college auditorium, featured an inter-department Rangoli competition that brought together students from various departments to express their creativity through intricate and vibrant designs. Each team demonstrated remarkable skill and artistry, transforming the auditorium floor into a canvas filled with mesmerizing patterns, themes, and symbols of Diwali. The spirit of the festival was evident as participants blended traditional and modern designs, showcasing the cultural significance of Diwali through their creations. FIELD TRIP TO VAGAMON

Known for its lush landscapes and tranquil atmosphere, Vagamon offered an ideal setting for both exploration and relaxation. The trip itinerary included a visit to the enchanting Pine Valley, where students wandered among towering pine trees, taking in the refreshing air and capturing scenic photos. Next, they explored Thangal Para, a renowned pilgrimage site, where the unique rock formations and peaceful surroundings gave students a moment of calm and reflection.
