Weekly Reflection - SEVENTH WEEK

The last week of my teaching practice journey was increasingly meaningful and enriching. Each day brought new opportunities to engage students through interactive and concept-based learning. The classrooms were energetic, cooperative, and learner-centered, allowing lessons to flow smoothly and productively. I experienced the joy of seeing students participate actively in activities, discussions, and discovery-based tasks. As the days progressed, my confidence grew, and the teaching–learning process became more balanced, thoughtful, and effective. The final day marked not just the completion of lessons but the completion of a beautiful phase of my training, filled with learning, connection, and professional growth.  Lesson Plan 26 Lesson: Toys to Teens Topic: Another concern... youngster's life. Weekly Reflection - SIXTH WEEK

Image
This week of teaching practice was both purposeful and encouraging. Each day helped me gain more clarity about my role as a teacher and sharpen my classroom skills. I handled my classes with better planning and confidence, and I could clearly see improvement in student engagement. I made sure to balance explanation with activities, discussions, and short assessments so that the learning remained active and meaningful. The students were responsive and showed growing interest in the lessons. On the 23rd day, Arun sir came to observe our classes. His feedback gave me insight into where I should focus more and improve. It was truly valuable. Along with my regular teaching, I took up substitution and discipline duties, which gave me valuable exposure to different class dynamics. These experiences helped me understand how important consistency, patience, and empathy are in managing a classroom effectively. I also conducted achievement test on 12/01/2026. It went well. There was also ...

Weekly Reflection - FIFTH WEEK

This week of teaching practice was steady, enriching, and full of meaningful learning experiences. Each day gave me new opportunities to grow more confident in my role as a teacher and to strengthen my connection with the students. I handled my regular classes and continued with the assigned portions, ensuring that every session included clear explanations, interaction, and reinforcement activities. I used charts, flashcards, questioning techniques, and small tasks to keep the lessons engaging and student-centred. The students responded positively, and their participation made the classroom atmosphere lively and supportive. Along with teaching, I also managed substitution and discipline duties, which helped me understand different classroom environments and improve my classroom management skills. These experiences taught me how to stay calm, firm, and empathetic while handling diverse learner behaviours. Lesson Plan 19 Lesson:  Grammar Topic:  Adverb Model Used: ...

NSS Camp 2025

Image
The NSS camp was successfully conducted from December 22 to December 28 at Fathima Memorial Training College, Mylapore. The seven-day residential camp aimed at developing social awareness, leadership qualities, and a spirit of service among the volunteers. Throughout the camp, students actively participated in various activities such as community service, awareness programmes, cleanliness drives, group discussions, and skill-building sessions. These activities helped the volunteers understand social responsibilities and the value of teamwork. The camp provided a meaningful platform for students to connect with the community and apply classroom learning to real-life situations. Overall, the NSS camp was a productive and enriching experience that strengthened the sense of social commitment among us.

Weekly Reflection - FOURTH WEEK

Image
The weekend was noticeably calmer than the previous ones, allowing us to closely observe students with diverse behaviours, learning styles, and levels of comprehension. Despite these variations, I ensured that every learner was actively involved in the learning process and motivated to perform to their fullest potential. The school atmosphere remained warm and encouraging, with students showing cooperation and affection. Along with teaching, we undertook substitution and discipline duties, which provided valuable insight into the functioning of the school system. One of the most important lessons I learned during this time was how to handle challenging students. Each learner requires a unique approach—some respond best to patience and care, while others need reassurance and gentle support. Overall, the weekend was calm, pleasant, and productive. On the final day, Anamika Ma’am visited to observe the classes of my fellow trainees and offered constructive feedback that was highly...

Weekly Reflection - THIRD WEEK

Image
This was the third week of our teaching practice, and it turned out to be a very productive one. Except for Friday, I had the first period on all other days. On some days, I also handled a class in 9A, even though my regular class is 9G, which gave me additional teaching exposure. We attended a class on DigiLocker this week and also handled lunchtime duties and also duties regarding the English library arrangement. These responsibilities helped me interact more with students and maintain a friendly rapport with them. Academically, I completed the first chapter, The Unstoppable Wave Surfer, along with all its activities and notes. I also began teaching the second chapter, A Shield of Courage. I am currently on the third lesson plan of this chapter, and the classes are going smoothly, especially the ICT-enabled sessions. Overall, it was a good and fulfilling week that helped me grow in confidence and classroom engagement. Lesson...
