The highlight of the event was the screening of a TED Talk by Sri Shashi Tharoor, who eloquently discussed the distinctions between education and formation of character. In his talk, Tharoor emphasized that a well-educated mind is characterized by knowledge acquisition and intellectual development, while a well-formed mind integrates values, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence. He argued that education alone is insufficient if it does not cultivate wisdom, empathy, and a sense of responsibility towards society. Independence Day Celebration

           This year, FMTC commemorated the day with a lively and enthusiastic celebration that captured the true spirit of patriotism. The event brought together students, faculty, and staff, filling it with happiness, pride, and a rejuvenated dedication to the nation's values. The main guests of the event were Sri. Shajahan Younus and Sri Noushad Younus. The Independence Day celebration at FMTC began with a lively atmosphere as the campus was adorned with tricolors and patriotic decorations. The festivities started early in the morning with students, teachers, and staff gathering for the flag-hoisting ceremony. Everyone stood together, dressed in traditional attire, to pay tribute to the nation’s freedom fighters and celebrate the country’s progress over the years. MASS BLOOD DONATION DRIVE

This initiative was held in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Blood Bank in Kollam and the National Service Scheme (NSS), highlighting the importance of community engagement in health-related causes. This ice-breaking session allowed us to share our backgrounds and interests, helping to build connections among the freshers.
