CREATIVE PRACTICE ON UNDERSTANDING SUBSTANCE USE AND ABUSE

At Fathima Memorial Training College, Mylapore, Group 3 led a powerful and enlightening Creative Practice Assembly on the theme “Understanding Substance Use and Abuse.” The session aimed to raise crucial awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and its profound effects on both mental and physical well-being.

Through compelling visuals, dramatic performances, and reflective narration, the presentation shed light on how addiction silently takes control, leading individuals down a path of emotional and social turmoil. The assembly urged students to make conscious, informed choices and to reach out for support when facing difficult situations.

The poignant quote, “Because when the substance takes over, you just can't think straight,” echoed through the hall, striking a deep chord with the audience. It was more than just an informative session—it was a heartfelt call for awareness, empathy, and collective responsibility. The program left a lasting impression, reminding everyone that prevention begins with understanding.
