Independence Day Celebration
This year, FMTC commemorated the day with a lively and enthusiastic celebration that captured the true spirit of patriotism. The event brought together students, faculty, and staff, filling it with happiness, pride, and a rejuvenated dedication to the nation's values. The main guests of the event were Sri. Shajahan Younus and Sri Noushad Younus.
The Independence Day celebration at FMTC began with a lively atmosphere as the campus was adorned with tricolors and patriotic decorations. The festivities started early in the morning with students, teachers, and staff gathering for the flag-hoisting ceremony. Everyone stood together, dressed in traditional attire, to pay tribute to the nation’s freedom fighters and celebrate the country’s progress over the years. The event commenced with the principal of FMTC, Dr. Lakshmi Natarajan, hoisting the national flag. As the flag soared high, the entire gathering stood in unison, and sang the National song with great enthusiasm. Later, the principal inaugurated the ceremony with a speech which enthralled us with the spirit of patriotism.
One of the highlights of the day was the series of cultural performances by students, which brought the spirit of the nation to life. The stage was set for a mesmerizing lineup of music, dance, and presentations. The students performed traditional and contemporary dances that depicted the rich cultural heritage of the nation. Dressed in vibrant costumes, they captured the essence of unity in diversity, leaving the audience spellbound. A patriotic song competition was held afterwards, stirring emotions and evoking a sense of belonging among everyone present.
The Independence Day celebration at FMTC was a resounding success, bringing together students, teachers, and staff to honor the nation's journey to freedom. It was a day that not only celebrated the past but also looked forward to a bright future. The event concluded with everyone singing the national anthem, followed by a message of peace, unity, and hope.
